Last Chance Harvey is a story about first loves, last chances and everything in between. It is a perfect pick-me-up for dark January nights and features moving performances from Dustin Hoffman and Emma Thompson. Things aren't going well for New Yorker Harvey Shine. He's lost his job and his daughter has chosen her step father to walk her down the aisle instead of Harvey. But following an unexpected encounter with Kate (Emma Thompson) his life takes a new and unexpected direction.
Capote is an absolutely unforgettable film with an extraordinary performance by Philip Seymour Hoffman in the central role of Truman Capote, famed author of Breakfast at Tiffany's. Capote sets out to investigate the murder of a small town Kansas family -an investigation that results in the writing of In Cold Blood - a book that changes the course of American literature and takes a drastic personal toll on Capote.
This is an adult film at every level based on a true story that raises deep moral questions as Capote forms a bond with the killers as their execution draws near.
Each evening will begin with refreshments followed by a word of welcome and introduction to the film.
