General Information
CHURCH WATCHING
The Church is open from 10.30 a.m. to Noon and 2pm to 3.30pm on weekdays,
when volunteers are available.
CHURCH CLEANING
This is done by voluntary groups each week, on different days and working out at once a month for each group. There is always room for extra helpers. Lasts about an hour.
SILVER CLEANING
Volunteers working in pairs on Friday or Saturday morning at 10.30 a.m.
PLANNED GIVING
To ensure a regular income, we have a stewardship envelope scheme which is administered by the Recorder Mr. John Aldred. Regular gifts can also be made by standing order from a bank account.
GIFT AID
Taxpayers can assist the church greatly by completing a Gift-Aid declaration, which enables us to recover from the Inland Revenue 28% of the value of the gift. It is straightforward and our Gift Aid Secretary, Mr Ray Barton, would be pleased to help you if you are interested.
PASTORAL CARE
We try to respond quickly when problems arise. But it does help enormously if members of the congregation keep us informed when anyone requires a visit.
SICK ? HOUSEBOUND ? INFIRM ?
Holy Communion can be taken on a regular basis to those at home or in Rest/Nursing Homes who can no longer get to church, and request this service.
BAPTISMS
These are held at 12.30 p.m. on Sunday or by arrangement.
CONFIRMATION COURSES
These are normally held annually.
MARRIAGES
The calling of Banns can be arranged in the first instance by calling the Vicar (Tel: 01704 538560)
