Sunday Club
Sunday Club is a fun way to learn about the love of God.
It is a place where children can question in a safe, happy and non-judgemental environment, through games, art, drama etc. Come along and make new friends!
Our Sunday Club, for children aged 3yrs plus, operates during term time in our Parish Centre. Our small, but dedicated, band of leaders inspires a wide age range with a variety of weekly activities which follow the themes of the season and/or the readings in the 10.15 Eucharist Service. The children are encouraged to join the Offertory procession and come into church usually in time for communion where they can join parents or sit with the group.
Leaders are active in arranging other activities for the children through the year and the congregation eagerly awaits their annual nativity offering. Over recent years this has been written especially by the leaders (in collaboration with ideas generated by the children) and has incorporated the Christmas message within a more ‘popular’ idea – a unique production but always very well received. The play is repeated at our annual Christingle Service on Christmas Eve for a very large congregation of families which supports the Children’s Society.
